St Mary Police Launch Investigation into Taxi Operator’s Death

Jamaica News, St Mary: The St Mary police say they have now launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a popular taxi operator, whose body was discovered in the rear seat of his motor car, in his yard at Airy Hill district, Oracabessa, on Tuesday, January 1.

The deceased has been identified as Nicoy Gibbs, 33-year-old, also of Airy Hill district.

Reports by the police are that about 6:10 a.m. on Tuesday, residents living in Airy Hill stumbled upon the taxi operator’s body, which was lying in the rear seat of a car, parked in a yard.

The police traveled to the scene and upon arrival, Gibbs body was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators say they will now have to wait on a post-mortem examination result, due to fact that no mark of violence was detected on the body.
