St Mary, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The St Mary police say they are now in search of two men who escaped the arms of the law, after they were seen loading a large quantity of ganja unto a boat in the parish on Saturday, March 17.
Reports by the police are that about 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, a team of officers were carrying out patrols in the vicinity of Paggee Beach, when they saw two men loading on knitted bags into a speed boat, in the vicinity of Quebec River.
The police went to investigate and upon seeing the lawmen approaching, the men jumped in the boat which sped away.
An investigation led to the discovery of 14 knitted bags which contained ganja weighing approximately 579 pounds.
The drugs which the police say have an estimated street value of Jamaican $ 2.316.000 was seized.
