St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – A 19-year-old man is now battling for life at the Cornwall Regional Hospital in Montego Bay after he was shot and injured by gunmen while walking in his community on Saturday, March 17, 2018.
The Mount Salem police reported that about 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, the man who hails from Birch Hill in the same community was walking with another man along the Green Pond main road. On reaching a section of the roadway, they were approached by two men travelling in a Blue Nissan Sunny motor car. The car pulled up alongside them, the man travelling in the front passenger seat pushed out a firearm through the window and opened fire on him, hitting him several times to his upper body.
The motor vehicle sped away and the wounded man was transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital by residents where he has been admitted in critical condition.
