Jamaica News, March 20, 2018 – Rose Height Man Murdered 

St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The Mount Salem police in Montego Bay, St James have now commenced an investigation surrounding the shooting death of a man in the Rose Heights community, on Monday night, March 19.

The deceased has been identified as 51-year-old Junior Raymond, otherwise called “Junior”,  laborer also Rose Heights.

Reports by the police are that shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Monday, residents alerted them after hearing several gunshots being fired in the area. The lawmen rushed to the location and upon arrival, they stumbled upon the body of the deceased lying in a pool of blood at a section of the community.

The wounded man was transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Our news team learnt that Raymond was the complainant in a wounding case which is now before the St James Parish Court.  He was due to appear in court later this week.

A total of eleven persons have been murdered in the parish of St James since the start of the State of Public Emergency.
