Jamaica Crime News, St James: Detectives attached to the Montego Bay, Freeport Police Station in St James and the MID Department in Falmouth, Trelawny say they are now in search of two men, who they believe can assist them in their investigations surrounding the shooting death of two brothers in Somerton district, St James on Saturday, August 4.
The police say they are unable to release the names of the two suspects at this time, but they are being sought in connection with the murders of 18-year-old Tevon Sterling and Omar Stewart, otherwise called “Stewie” 30-year-old and both woodcutters of Windsor District in Somerton.
Reports by the police are that about 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, residents living in Windsor district alerted the police after hearing loud explosions which sounded like gunshots being fired in the area.
The police rushed to the scene and about 12:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, they stumbled upon the bodies of both brothers.
The siblings were discovered lying along a dirt track with multiple gunshot wounds to their upper bodies. Tevon was discovered lying on his back in the roadway while his elder brother was found a few chains away on an embankment.
The scene was processed and both brothers later transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
