St. James, Jamaica (McN) – The police in St James say they have now arrested and charged a man of a Norwood address who was been sought for sexually molesting an 11-year-old student in the community of Norwood on Saturday.
The accused has been identified as Ricardo Grey otherwise called “Richard,” 20 years old, unemployed of Ball Ground in Norwood. He is charged with Rape, Grievous Sexual Assault, Sexual Touching and Abduction.
Reports are that shortly after 12:00 pm on Saturday the 11 years ago girl was walking along a section of
the Norwood main road when she was approached by the Grey.
On reaching the vicinity of the Norwood playing field, the accused held unto the small child and dragged her into bushes.
Grey then proceeded to sexual molested her.
He reportedly also dragged her inside a house and again sexually molested her.
The accused then fled the scene while the child told her parent of the incident and the matter was reported to the police.
Following an investigation the accused was taken into custody and slapped with charges on Tuesday.
