St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – St James Man Charged with Wounding and Illegal Possession of Firearm: A 28-yr-old man who hails from Cambridge District in the parish of St James was on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, slapped with charges of wounding and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition. Investigators named the accused as Everton Williams, unemployed of a Ducketts Road address also in Cambridge.
The Cambridge police reported that in early November of 2017, Williams reportedly armed himself with an illegal firearm and went to a section of Cambridge known as Ducketts Road, where he shot and injured a 47-year-old man. The police were alerted and on arrival, the wounded man was transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was treated and admitted.
Following investigations, Williams was arrested and subsequently slapped with the charges. He is booked to appear in the St James Parish court at a later date.
