St James Man Charged with Lottery Scamming

Latest Jamaica News (Mckoy’s News): A St James electrician was arrested and charged in connection with lottery scamming, after he was caught in possession of items used in the illicit act on Saturday, September 7.

Facing charges of possession of identity information his 26 year-old Linton McPherson, electrician of Rent Land in Anchovy, St James.

Reports by the Anchovy police are that about 6:30 p.m., on Saturday, a team of officers were on patrol in the area when they spotted McPherson, who was acting in a suspicious manner.

He was accosted and searched, and a cellphone he was carrying was found to contain names, telephone numbers, and addresses of residents living overseas.

He was interviewed and subsequently charged.
