St. James Man Charged For Several Offences

Jamaica News: Fifty-three-year-old Robert Fowler, painter of Blue Lagoon Place, Bogue Village in St. James was charged with Illegal Possession of Firearm, Shooting with Intent and Assault at Common Law following an incident in Orange district, Adelphi in the parish on Thursday, October 22.

Reports from the Adelphi Police are that about 5:00 a.m., the complainants were on their way home when Fowler and another man requested they reopen the shop, to purchase liquor. The other suspect offered one of the complainants a drink which she refused. The other suspect then pulled a firearm from Fowler’s waistband and fired several shots at the complainants; they were unharmed.

A report was made to the police and Fowler was apprehended and his home searched, several spent cases were found in his yard, however the firearm was not found. He was subsequently charged.

His court date is being finalized.
