St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Glendevon Taxi Operator Shot and Killed: A 57-yr-old taxi operator who hails from Glendevon community was shot and killed by unknown assailants in St James on Sunday morning.

The victim has been identified as Derrick Bucknor of a Robert Reid Drive in Glendevon.

Reports by the Mount Salem police are that about 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017, residents in Salt Spring Road area alerted the police after hearing a barrage of gunshots being fired. The police rushed to the scene and on arrival, Bucknor was discovered lying along a section of the roadway in a pool of blood.

He had what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. The victim was transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
