St James Family Robbed at Gunpoint

Jamaica Crime News, St James: The St James police have now launched a search for two gunmen,  who held up and robbed a family of valuables and their motor car in Flankers community on Tuesday night,  September 4.

Reports by the Coral Gardens Police are that about 8:45 p.m., the family members were at their home which is located at a section of the Flankers community,  known as Providence.

Two armed men forced their way inside the house and held them at gunpoint.

The gunmen proceeded to rob the family of cash, jewelry, cell phones and a Grey 2013, Toyota Premio motor car,  registered 1987 HT.

None of the family members were hurt, the gunmen made their escape in the stolen motor car.

The police stated that they believe both gunmen are the ones who have been behind a series of robberies being committed in the Coral Gardens policing area for some time now.

They are now asking members of the public for assistance in apprehending these two arm robbers.

Anyone with information is being asked to immediately contact the Coral Gardens Police at  953-2229 or the Freeport police at 953-6199, police Control 119 or the nearest police station.
