Jamaica News, April 3, 2018 – St James Crash Claims One Life, Two Others Injured
St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – One man lost his life and two others admitted to hospital, following their involvements in a motor vehicle accident, which occurred along a section of the Rose Hall main road in St James on Monday night, April 2.
The deceased has been identified as Leon Campbell, while two other men have been admitted to the Cornwall Regional Hospital in serious conditions.
Reports by the Barrett Town Police are that, shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Monday night, Campbell and two other passengers were traveling in a Toyota Axio motor car, which is being used to operate taxi from Falmouth to Montego Bay.
One reaching a section of the Lilliput main road, in the vicinity of the Iberostar Resort, the driver of the taxi attempted to make a turn and ended up in the path of another Toyota Corolla motor car, which was traveling close behind in the said directions.
Both vehicles collided, Campbell and the other two passengers sustained head and body injuries.
The wounded men were transported to the Cornwall Regional hospital where Campbell was pronounced dead and the other two men admitted in serious conditions.
