St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Salt Spring Couple Murdered: a male and female who are said to be a common law couple were shot and killed by gunmen in Salt Spring, St James on Friday morning, May 19.
An illegal firearm along with several rounds of ammunition was also seized at the murder scene.
The female victim has been identified as Stephanie Sang, otherwise called “Chin,” 24-year-old, unemployed of Go-Peace Lane and a man identified so far only as “Broadie,” who is said to be her common law husband.
He is believed to be about 25-year-old, bleached brown complexion and sports a cornrow hairstyle. He was clad in a multi-colored hoodie, khaki pants and a pair of black and white shoes.
Reports are that, about 12:30 am on Friday, a joint military team was carrying out foot patrols in Salt Spring, when they heard gunshots being fired in a section of the area.
The lawmen walked to the Go-Peace area, where they stumbled upon the bodies of the Salt Spring Couple Murdered. Both victims were discovered lying in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds to their upper bodies.
A further search of the area, led to the recovery of a Smith and Wesson 9 mm semi-automatic pistol, loaded with a magazine containing 10 live 9 mm rounds.
The two victims were transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
