Jamaica Crime News, St Elizabeth: Two men of St Elizabeth addresses were arrested and charged for breaches of the dangerous drugs act on Tuesday, November 6, after they were caught attempting to smuggle over four pounds of cocaine from the Sangster’s International Airport in Montego Bay, St James  to a destination in the United Kingdom.

The names of the men have not yet been released.

Reports by the Narcotics Police are that about 2:00 p.m., the men were in the process of boarding a flight destined to the United Kingdom when their personal belongings were searched.

They were found to be carrying several tins, which were labeled as food items.

A search of eight of the tins led to the discovery of several packages of cocaine, which were wrapped in transparent plastic bags.
