Jamaica News, March 21, 2018 – St Elizabeth Man Sentenced to 20 Years

St Elizabeth, Jamaica( McKoy’s New) –A St Elizabeth man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for chopping his ex-girlfriend to death.

29-year-old Marshall Taylor who hails from Lacovia in the parish, received a 20 year prison sentence on Monday, when he appeared in the St Elizabeth Circuit Court.  The Judge ruled that Taylor must serve 15 years before parole eligibility.

Reports are that on January 1, 2016, Taylor was in a heated argument with Cooper when he attacked and inflicted multiple chops all over her body which subsequently led to her death.

He was later charged following investigations and pleaded guilty to murder.
