Jamaica Crime News, St Elizabeth: St Elizabeth Man Facing Criminal Charges A St Elizabeth man who decided to play the role of a good Samaritan last Thursday, March 7, and handed over an illegal firearm to the police, is now facing criminal charges.

The police reported that they are unable to release the name of the accused man at this time, as he may be placed before an identification parade.

Reports by the Black River police are that between the hours of 3:00 a.m., to 6:00 a.m., on Thursday, an operation was carried out at sections of St Elizabeth known as Tryall district.

During the operation, a house occupied by the accused was searched, but nothing was found by the lawmen.

It is further reported that the accused then took the officers to a cluster of bushes on neighboring premises, and showed them where he had hidden the weapon, which is said to be a 9mm semi-automatic pistols fitted with a magazine containing two live rounds.
