A man is now on the run, following the shooting death of another man in Haughton District, St Elizabeth on Wednesday, July 21.

The deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Alex Morgan, also known as “Zagga” Farmer of Haughton District St. Elizabeth.

The alleged suspect is 47-year-old Derrick Robinson aka “Okeith”, Farmer of Haughton District St. Elizabeth.

Reports are that sometime around 2:00 pm on Wednesday, Morgan and other persons were under a Mango Tree stripping off Ganja, when it is alleged that the suspect came to the location and an argument developed between the two. Shortly after, the suspect pulled a firearm from his front pants pocket and fired several shots towards Morgan hitting him multiple times, then fled the scene.

Morgan was transported by residents to Black River Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Search efforts to locate the suspect have so far proven futile.

Investigations are ongoing.
