St Elizabeth Businessman Sentenced To 28 Years for Killing His Ex-Girlfriend

28 year old, St Elizabeth businessman, Omar Elliot was sentenced to 28 years in prison when he appeared in the St Elizabeth Circuit Court on Wednesday June 20th.


Elliot, who hails from Ballard Valley in St Elizabeth, was before the Court for the murder of his ex-girlfriend, 26 year old, Jillian Nathan and the shooting and wounding of Kemar Simpson at her family house in St Elizabeth on June 4th, 2017


Reports are that, on the day of the incident, Elliot armed himself with a handgun and drive to the Home of his ex-girlfriend and forced his way inside the house.  He then went inside a room occupied by his ex-girlfriend and the man where he shot them both.


Both victims were transported to hospital where Nathan was pronounced dead and Simpson admitted in serious condition. During the sentencing Justice Glen Brown, sentenced Elliot to 11 years for manslaughter, 10 years for illegal possession of firearm and 7 years for wounding with intent.  Elliot however will only spend 11 years in prison as his sentence will run concurrently.
