St Catherine, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – St Catherine Track Coach: a high school track coach in the parish of St Catherine appears before the St Catherine Parish Court today on charges of abduction, indecent assault and rape of a 16-year-old student.
The coach was arrested and charged by detectives of the Spanish Town Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) on Monday, January 22.
Reportedly, at about 2:00 pm on December 13, 2017, after training, a 16-year-old female student on the track team was offered a ride by the coach to her bus stop.
Allegedly, the accused man did not drop the student at the bus stop. He reportedly drove past the bus stop and took her in his car to a dirt track off the Spanish Town bypass, in St Catherine.
The female student reports that she was then raped by her coach in the secluded area.
The incident was reported to the police on December 19, leading to investigations and his subsequent arrest and charge.
He will begin answering the charges of abduction, indecent assault and rape before the St Catherine Parish Court today, Tuesday, January 30.
