St Catherine, Jamaica McKoy’s News) – St Catherine Policeman Head Severed: a police Constable who is attached to the St Catherine South Division was killed in a motor vehicle accident which occurred along the PJ Patterson Highway in May Pen Clarendon on Thursday morning, February 22. It is also reported that the officer’s head was severed from his body.
The victim has been identified as Constable Carl Anthony Bailey, 30 years old also of St Catherine.
Reports are that shortly after 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, the officer was traveling along the PJ Patterson Highway in his Blue Toyota Corolla motor car registered 7645 77GZ. On reaching in close proximity of the May Pen Toll Gate, he lost control of the vehicle which hit an embankment.
Constable Bailey was thrown from the vehicle. He was run over by other passing motorist and his head was completely severed from his body.
The police have indicated that several live rounds belonging to the officer were recovered at the scene, but, investigators are still searching for his service revolver.
