Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: A St Catherine fisherman suspected of being the mastermind in the Drug for Gun Trade, which has been operating out of the parish for some time now, was sentenced in the St Catherine Parish Court on Tuesday, August 7.
He has been identified as, 34-year-old Gaffi Daley of Hellshire in Portmore, St Catherine.
Reports by the police are that Daley was arrested about 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, in connection with the seizure of 490 pounds of ganja at the Intersection of Lakes Pen and Municipal Boulevard in the parish.
He was subsequently charged and pleaded guilty when he appeared in Court on Tuesday, June 12.
Daley was sentenced to three months hard labor for charges of Possession of Ganja, six months hard labor for Taking Steps Preparatory to Export Ganja and fined $800,000 or six months in prison for Use of Conveyance.
