The St Ann police are asking members of the public for assistance to locate a security guard, who is alleged to have shot and killed a 19-year-old girl, during a domestic dispute over garbage, at a yard in Carlton Mountain, St Ann, on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Navagia Gray of Carlton Mountain. The man being sought has been identified as Leroy Martin, also of Carlton Mountain.
Reports by the police are that, shortly after 9; 00 am, on Tuesday, March 2, an argument developed between the female, and other persons in the yard, allegedly over the lighting of garbage.
The dispute escalated into a physical confrontation when the accused reportedly left the location and returned with a firearm, which he used to shoot the female to her upper body.
Martin then fled the scene, followed by which the police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded teenager was rushed to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
