St Ann Police Seeking Public Assistance to Identify Hit and Run Driver

Jamaica Crime News, St Ann: The Run-Away Bay police in the parish of St Ann, say they are now calling on members of the public for their assistance,  to identify a hit and run driver,  who is responsible for the death of a pedestrian in Run-Away Bay on Tuesday, August 21.

The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Warren Pringle, otherwise called “Shane”  of Runaway Bay.

Reports by the police are that about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday night,  Pringle was walking along a section of the Hampsted main road, when he was mowed down by the driver, who sped away.

The impact of the crash sent Pringle hurling through the air and landing on the right side of the road.

Approximately 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning,  August 22, residents stumbled upon Pringle’s body and alerted the police.

On the arrival of the police,  Pringle was discovered lying along the roadway In a pool of blood. The scene was processed, and the body later transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
