Jamaica Crime News, St Ann: A male employee at the St Ann municipal corporation, who works as a fee collection warder, inside the Ocho Rios Transport Centre, was shot and seriously injured by one of two armed robbers, on Wednesday, July 3.

The identity of the employee, who still remains at hospital in serious condition, is being withheld by the police.

Reports by the police Ocho Rios police are that shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, the victim was collecting fees inside the transport centre, when he was approached by two men.

One of the men brandished a handgun and opened fire hitting him in the regions of his neck. The armed robber then made off with a bag containing an undetermined sum of money.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, the wounded man was transported to the St Ann’s Bay hospital, where he was admitted in serious but stable condition.
