Jamaica News, April 17, 2018 – St Ann Man Suspected of Committing Suicide

St Ann, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The police in the parish of St Ann have now commenced a probe into the death of a man, who is suspected to have committed suicide by drinking gramoxone on Tuesday morning, April 17.

The deceased has been identified as 51-year-old Melbourne Palmer, unemployed of Cornpiece road in Exchange, St Ann.

Reports by the police are that, Palmer who is an epileptic patient, was last seen alive by family members about 8:30 p.m. on Monday, April 16.

On Tuesday morning about 7:00 a.m., members of his family discovered that he did come out of his house where he resides alone, so they went to check on him.

Palmer was discovered motionless in the room of the house with a bottle of gramoxone beside him.

The police also stated that sections of his body was also drenched with the deadly weed killer.
