Jamaica News, April 16, 2018 – St Ann Man Facing Gun Charges Found Murdered                                       

St Ann, Jamaica (McKoy’s New) – A 22-year-old man who the police say was facing the Court on gun-related charges, was found with gunshot wounds to his head in Edge Hill District, St Ann’s Bay on Saturday morning, April 14.

He has been identified as Lorenzo Cammock, laborer of Drax Hall also in St Ann.

Reports by the St Ann’s Bay police are that about 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, residents at a section of the parish known as Crocodile City alerted the police, after they stumbled upon the body of a man along a section of the community.

Upon arrival of the police, investigations were carried out and it was discovered that the victim who has a gunshot wound to his head was Cammock.

Man Facing Gun Charges Found Murdered: The police have reported that the deceased and another man from Drax Hall were caught earlier this year in the month of February with an illegal firearm along the Lime Hall main road. Both men were arrested and charged with Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition.

As part of his bail condition, Cammock was ordered to report to the St Ann’s Bay police three times per week and a curfew posted on him that he should not be seen on the streets after 7:00 p.m.

It is also reported that the deceased was involved in a conflict with a group of men from the area.
