Jamaica News, April 4, 2018 – St Ann Fish Vendor Shot 

St Ann, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – A 46-year-old fish vendor who hails from Middle Street in the parish of St Ann, is now at the St Ann Bay hospital nursing gunshot wounds, after he allegedly used a knife to attack a licensed firearm holder in the parish on Friday morning, March 31.

Reports are that shortly after 10:00 a.m. on Friday, the fish vendor went to a private owned property in the vicinity of the Old Fisherman’s Beach. He was reportedly approached by the licensed firearm holder who cautioned him that he was on private property.

It is further reported that, the businessman was in the process of escorting the fish vendor from the property when he allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed at him. The licensed firearm holder pulled his licensed firearm and shot the fish vendor to the regions of his upper body.

The police were alerted and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to hospital where he was admitted.

The firearm holder taken into custody for questioning.
