Jamaica News, April 20, 2018 – St Andrew Taxi Operator Shot                                                                                       

St Andrew, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – A taxi operator who plies the Duhaney Park route to Half Way Tree was shot and killed by a lone gunman in the parish on Thursday night.

The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Kerron Morner of 55 Abberville Avenue in Patrick City.

Reports by the Duhaney Park police are that shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 19,  Morner allegedly dropped off a passenger at a premises and was about to drive out.

The taxi operator was in the process of driving away when he was approached by a man who brandished a handgun.

The gunman opened fire hitting the taxi driver to his upper body and he died on spot.

The gunman then made his escape on foot in the area while the wounded man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
