Jamaica News, March 10, 2018 – St Andrew Police Seeks Public Help
St Andrew, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The St Andrew police say they are now asking members of the public for their assistance, to apprehend a taxi driver who fled the scene after mowing down a male vendor, along Molynes Road in the parish on Wednesday morning, March 7.
The police reported that shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, the vendor was riding a bicycle along Molynes Road when he was approached by the taxi driver. The taxi driver reportedly swerved to his right and mowed down the vendor before driving away from the scene.
Several commuters and other vendors alerted the Constant Spring police and upon arrival, several members of the crowd immediately assisted in placing the wounded vendor into a police vehicle, which transported him to hospital where he was treated and admitted in serious condition.
