Criminal Charges Laid Against Man Arrested in Connection with St Andrew Firearm Seizure

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: St Andrew Firearm Seizure – The Constant Spring police say they have now laid criminal charges against a man who was taken into custody, in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm in the area on Tuesday morning, July 3.

Investigators have stated that the accused has been charged with Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition, but his name still cannot be released because he may be brought before a series of identification parades.

Man Arrested in Connection with Firearm Seizure in St Andrew 

Reports by the police are that shortly after 10:20 am on Tuesday, a team of officers were carrying out operations at the intersection of Federal Pond and Barbican Road when they saw the suspect acting in a suspicious manner.

He was accosted and when searched, he was found to be carrying a  . 380 pistol which was loaded with six live  .380 rounds.

He was taken into custody and is now waiting to be charged.
