The “6ix Boss” Squash is set to perform live for the first time in Miami, USA at Jamaica’s biggest all-inclusive beach event, “Chug It”, slated for Saturday, September 28, 2019.
The event will make its first stop at Miramar Regional Park Amphitheater in Florida and promises to be a massive one as it is being coordinated by Vew Live in association with Jamaica’s Big Bad CHUG IT team.
Another major highlight for this event is the performance from Jamaican dancehall artiste Squash, who has been making waves on the musical scenes with his catchy hits and melodious flow of music. Despite doing music for many years, the talented hardcore Montego-Bay artiste didn’t gain real recognition from players in the Reggae and Dancehall industry until 2016. His career is said to have come to full fruition in July of 2018 when Squash released another street banger titled “Trending” produced by Onetime Music. Since then, his music has been dominating the local and international scenes with major benefits and opportunities such as collaborations with ‘Dancehall King’ Vybz Kartel.
In summer of 2019, things got real for the 6ix boss shortly after the release of another hit song “Bandit” which immediately started trending. His colleague and now dancehall rival, Alkaline turn up the already heated summer with a lyrical battle between ‘The 6ix is Real Team’ and ‘The Vendetta Camp.’ The two talented deejays (along with another member of the 6ix team, Chronic Law), exchanged a barrage of fiery lyrics that grab many person’s attention from both home and abroad. Both artistes’ fame, increased musical/social media presence and airplay gained a significant boost over the course of this ongoing feud. Along with Squash’s exceptional talent, this feud is also alleged to have landed him this opportunity as well, for his upcoming performance in the US.
Chug It, while on its ground-breaking moves, is a Caribbean event known for its monthly staging that revives that Jamaican vibe and party experience, to which patrons never disappoint as they always turn out in their numbers. The “big bad party a yawd finally comes abroad” and Miami fans seems to be in great excitement for hosting the affair. As evident in the viewer’s reaction, they will carry on the ‘high-energy baton’ as supporters took to Instagram to share their anticipation and love for both the 6ix boss and the event. Squash also posted a video on his Instagram page endorsing and confirming his performance for the show.
One viewer post reads “Love n Unity should win simply because it’s a Love n Unity Event that’s Trending. All the girls a come out to #ActUP with dem #CupsUp; I’m flying my crew in from Jamaica to come #BeatDemBad. Nuff ballers ah go roll out and #GetHigh. Another 6ix supporter shares a similar response in favour of both Squash and Chug It with her post which states “Well because a 6ixx mi crew dem seh an wi fully bad and overload wid trending swag, Chugit addi place fi wi come put wi cups up. Ya Zimi.”
The “Big Bad Chug It, Miami Edition” as dubbed by its promoters, layout an enticing package of drink deals and trending selectors that will maintain that high-energy pumping vibe that the event always maintain. Along with the main act/performer Squash, other performances will feature the Chug It host and artiste Trabass, Dane Ray, Rapper D Rich and other special guest appearances.
