Amidst the surge of COVID cases, the Reggae Sumfest team has confirmed the annual show for July 2021. The likes of Spice – The Queen of Dancehall, Grammy winner Koffee, and breakout star Lila Iké have been confirmed for the prestigious event.
Reggae Sumfest is a yearly event that attracts some 10,000 visitors (within a week) to the island. Patrons look forward to sensational acts and great vibes while munching away on delicious jerked chicken.
This year, however, has been a little different. In keeping with the guidelines regarding COVID-19, as set out by the Ministry of Health, they had to turn to the virtual stage to entertain the masses stuck at home. Several artistes were in the lineup and delivered stellar performances, which uplifted the quarantined patrons.
The Reggae Sumfest team is looking to have a COVID free 2021 with their confirmation of three of the biggest names in the industry.
Iké and Koffee are confirmed for Festival Night 2. We can expect a profound performance from both artistes with some groovy sounds and inspired lyrics.
Spice is scheduled for Festival Night 1. The crowd will be Rolling with Spice and her talented dancers. We are looking forward to a funfilled week in July 2021.
Only three have confirmed so far, and there are many more to come! Watch this space for the latest updates on the staging of Reggae Sumfest 2021.
