Police Launch Investigation into Construction Worker’s Death

Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: The Spanish Town Police say they have now commenced a full-scale investigation into the death of a man, who was shot and killed by gunmen in Spanish Town, St Catherine, on Monday evening.

The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Brenton Harris, otherwise called “Cabbage” construction worker of Cosmore drive, Naggo Head in Portmore, St Catherine.

Reports by the police are that about 6:30 p.m., Duncan was standing at a taxi stand at the intersection of Lemon Drive and Port Henderson Road, when he was ambushed by two armed men.

The men opened fire, hitting Harris multiple times to his upper body before escaping in the area.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded man was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
