“Smokey” Killed In Westmoreland Crash

Latest Jamaica News, Westmoreland: One man who sustained injuries in a motor vehicle accident along a section of the Haddo main road in Westmoreland, on Saturday, July 6, succumbed to injuries at hospital.

He has been identified as Davia “Smokey” Scott, who resided at McField district, also in Westmoreland.

Reports are that about 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Scott was driving a red 1998 Toyota Sprinter motor car, from the directions of McField towards Whithorn.

On reaching a section of Haddo main road, he was in the process of steering around two plastic safety barriers, when he lost control of the vehicle, which slid off the roadway and crashed into a water channel.

Scott received severe head injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he later died.
