Jamaica Crime News, St James: Skeletal Remains Found – The Barrett Town and Freeport police say they are now asking members of the public for their assistance, to identify the skeletal remains of a human, which was discovered in the Barrett Town policing area on Saturday, March 16.
The police have reported that Saturday afternoon about 12:30 p.m., a group of construction workers were digging a foundation to construct a retaining wall at a section of Barrett Town community known as Rhynie Hill.
After reaching a certain depth they came upon what resembled a shallow grave, and further investigations resulted in the discovery of the skeletal remains.
The police were summoned and upon their arrival the scene was processed, and the human remains removed to the morgue for post-mortem examination.
The police say they are appealing to anyone who has a relative that has being missing, to contact the Barrett Town police immediately.
