Jamaica News, St Mary: Investigators in Castleton, St Mary, have commenced an investigation surrounding the discovery of human remains in Flint River district in the parish on Tuesday, July 3, 2018.
Reports by the police are that about 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, residents in the area smell a foul odor coming from an abandoned building and went to investigate. Upon entering the building, they stumbled upon the human remains and alerted the police.
Upon arrival, the scene was processed and it was discovered that the human remains were that of a male.
The investigators also theorized that the remains could be those of a mentally challenged man who went missing from the community for some time now. The remains were removed to the morgue.
