Shots Fired Near Barclays Center in Brooklyn, One Man Wounded

Brooklyn, New York ( McKoy’s News) – Shots Fired Near Barclays Center: Shots Fired Near Barclays Center: A man was shot in the leg Wednesday at Atlantic and Flatbush avenues in Brooklyn, authorities said.
The shooting happened near Barclays Center and the Atlantic Terminal shopping center. A large emergency response was seen outside the DMV office there.
A police source said the victim is a 50-year-old man who suffered a gunshot wound to his ankle. Fire officials said he was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
An “extensive search” is underway for two individuals, according to a spokesman for the NYPD.
A source told PIX11 a culprit ran into the mall’s parking lot and escaped. He was described as a black male in his early 20s with a thin build. He wearing all black with a blue hat when he was last seen.
Mayor Bill de Blasio’s office said he has been briefed on the situation and “there is no reason for alarm.”
A witness said he heard a half dozen shots during the commotion.
