Security Guard and 17-year-old Shop Clerk Shot and Injured in Westmoreland

Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Shop Clerk Shot: A 25-year-old security officer of a  Roaring River address, and an 18-year-old female store clerk of Shrewsbury, both in Westmoreland, were shot and seriously injured by a lone gunman in the parish on Tuesday night.

Reports by the Savanna-la-mar police are that, shortly after 7:30 pm on Tuesday, November 7, the security officer and the store clerk were travelling in a motor car which was being driven by a man.

The vehicle was going from Savanna-la-mar towards Shrewsbury district, but on reaching the Amity intersection, the driver slowed down and a man travelling on a motorcycle rode up alongside them.

The rider brandished a handgun and fired several shots hitting both occupants before speeding away.

Other motorists in the area alerted the Savanna-la-mar police and on  their arrival, both victims were rushed to hospital where they were treated
and admitted in serious condition.
