Kingston, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Seven People Killed: According to various reports from areas of the Corporate area,  at least seven persons were killed in separate incidents yesterday afternoon. Mckoy’s News have not been able to confirm these incidents with the police, as there is very little information forthcoming.

The most positive report we have, from the CCU, states that 3 people were killed and a baby fighting for life in hospital, following an attack by gunmen in Olympic Gardens at about 6.30 pm. Reports are that a group of people were on 25th Street when gunmen alighted from a Nissan and opened fire and then sped away.

Dead have been identified as Joseph Kelly, o/c Joe Bleach, a 32-year-old resident of 25thStreet, Olympic Gardens, Nicholas Linzie, otherwise called Nick, a 20-year-old unemployed man and Daniquea Graham, otherwise called Alicia, a store clerk also of an Olympic Gardens address.

Reports say a 10-month-old baby remains in hospital. This incident is also reported elsewhere as having taken place in Cockburn Pen, but the names of the deceased are the same.

Another report states that two men and a woman were killed and a baby injured at about the same time, but this time on Hill Avenue off Mall Road. Reports say this incident is being investigated by the police.

In yet another incident, it is reported that at about 3.00 pm, four persons were shot on Payne Avenue in an attack by gunmen. A 2-year-old child was among the injured. It is understood that one of the injured has since died. We await further details in these incidents, as investigations continue.
