Serial Rapist Terrorizing Dean Lane, Montego Bay

Latest Jamaica News [Mckoy’s Nes] Serial Rapist Terrorizing Dean Lane – Residents residing at Deans Lane in Montego Bay, St James, have joined forces in search of a man who has committed several cases of rape within their community.

The angry residents say the serial rapist recently raped a dumb female and on Saturday, September 7, he broke into a house in the community and raped a 16-year-old student.

One police officer at the Barnett Street police station told Mckoy’s News they are aware of the incidents, and that the police are carrying out investigations, in order to apprehend the suspect.

Women living in Deans Lane say they can no longer sleep with their windows open, in fear of the serial rapist who attacks most of his victims with a knife.

One female stated that she had to fight off the serial rapist last week after he attacked her while she was entering her yard. The woman said she had just gone into the yard, when she was attacked from behind by the man who was armed with a knife.

According to the female, she always travels with a knife, so she reached inside her bag and lashed out at her attacker with the weapon, and he ran from the yard.

The residents in Deans Lane say they are now living in fear of the serial rapist, who mostly targets single female and houses which are occupied by lone women.

The residents say they are asking the police to provide more patrols in and around the community, to ensure the safety of themselves and their daughters.
