St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Senator Pearnel Charles Jr: Senator Pearnel Charles Jr, State Minister in the Ministry of National Security told media personnel on Sunday that he and the Minister of National Security are very pleased with what they have seen so far on their tour of St James.
State Minister Charles Jr, the Minister of National Security, the Hon Bobby Monique and the Acting Commissioner of police Warren Clarke along with other security toured sections of St James on Sunday.
The State Minister responded shortly after touring the Freeport Police Station and speaking to relatives of several of the persons who are being detained. According to Senator Charles Jr, the community members expressed that they all welcomed the State of Emergency in their community.
He further pointed out that the relatives of those persons being detained, are also pleased with how their family members were being treated and he hopes that at the end of the State of Emergency the parish of St James would have benefited.
