Security Officer Murdered in Catadupa, St James

St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Security Officer Murdered: Police attached to the Cambridge police station, are now carrying out investigations surrounding the shooting death of a Security Guard in the Catadupa community on Tuesday night.

The victim has been identified as Paul Henry Green, 41 years old, also of Catadupa District.

Reports by the Cambridge police are that shortly after 10:30 pm, on Tuesday, October 24, Green was walking home from work along an old railway line footpath, towards his house in Catadupa. On reaching a section of the road, he was ambushed by unknown assailants, who shot him several times in his upper body.

His brother, who was at the house at the time, heard his calling for help and then he heard a barrage of gunshots. He went to investigate and found Green lying along the old railway line, suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body.

The police were alerted and upon their arrival, the wounded Security Guard was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
