Security Guard Who Attacked and Robbed Policeman of Service Pistol, to Appear in Gun Court Today

Latest Jamaica News, Kingston (McKoy’s News): Romario Kevin Abrahams, the man who was arrested and charged for attacking and robbing a police officer of his service pistol at the Cross Roads Police Station on Thursday, August 22, is to appear in the Gun Court section, of the Supreme Court today, Friday, September 6.

Abrahams, who is of a St Andrew address, was slapped with four criminal charges, and was remanded into custody when he appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Tuesday, and had his case transferred.

Reports by the Cross Roads Police are that about 1:00 p.m., Abrahams went to the station to give a statement, and submit a medical report in a case of Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm.

While at the station he reportedly attacked the officer on duty and stole his service pistol, before fleeing the scene.

An operation was carried out in Spanish Town days after and the accused was apprehended.
