Security Guard and Police Constable Placed under Investigation in Hanover

Jamaica Crime News, Hanover: The Hanover police say they have now placed a Police Constable and his uncle who is a Security Guard under investigation after it was reported that they fired a barrage of gunshots in the Haughton Court community on Wednesday night.

Investigators also pointed out that, a licensed firearm belonging to the security guard and another firearm owned by the Police Constable who is stationed in Montego Bay, St James, were also seized.

Reports are that shortly after 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, residents living in Haughton Court in Lucea made a report to the police that a barrage of gunshots were being fired in the area.

A team of officers travelled to the area and acting upon information, they went to a particular house which is said to be occupied by the 59-year-old, Security Guard and the 32-year-old Constable.

Following an investigation carried out at the house both firearms were seized and both men placed under investigation.
