Second set of Jamaicans arrive

Ninety Four (94) of the 192 Jamaicans expected back in Jamaica today, Wednesday, arrived by way of a Jet Blue flight this morning.

Those arriving came from Ft Lauderdale, Florida and the others are expected to come from New york.

The Jamaicans who were met by Government officials at Norman Manley Airport made contact with the Jamaican diplomatic missions in the US and met the conditions outlined for entry in this period when the borders are closed.

They were taken directly from the airport to a Government quarantine facility in St Ann.

Last week the first set of nearly 120 Jamaicans came in from the United Kingdom. Six of them have since tested positive for COVID-19.
