Search Underway for Gunman Who Shot Up Police Patrol Vehicle in St Andrew

Latest Jamaica News, St Andrew (McKoy’s News): The St Andrew police are on the hunt for a lone gunman who shot up a service vehicle with two officers inside on Ken Hill Drive in Pembroke Hall, on Monday, October 21.

Fortunately the officers were unharmed, however, the windshield and  left front side window on the patrol vehicle were riddled with bullet holes.

According to police reports, officers received an emergency call that someone was being attacked with knives and gun along Ken Hill Drive in St Andrew. The officers got to the location at about 2:30 p.m. when a man was seen at the side of a plaza. The man immediately pointed a firearm at the police  and fired shots in their direction. Subsequently, the police took evasive action, before returning fire.

The gunman escaped on foot in the area.
