Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: The police say up to Thursday morning, December 27, they were still carrying out several operations in and around the community of Cambleton Gardens in Westmoreland, in an aim to apprehend two gunmen, and to recover a licensed firearm which was stolen from murdered businessman, Andrew Dennis.
44-year-old, Dennis, who is a popular business figure in Savanna-la-mar was shot and killed by two gunmen, as he entered his home in Campbleton Gardens, on Monday night, December 24.
Reports by the Whithorne police are that about 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dennis had closed up his business for the day, and headed home.
Upon driving into his yard, he was ambushed by two armed men, who shot him multiple times, and robbed him of cash and his licensed firearm.
Residents in the area alerted the police and upon their arrival, the businessman who was discovered suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, was transported to the Savanna-la-mar hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
