Shopkeeper Shot to Death in Salt Spring, St James

Latest Jamaica News, St James (McKoy’s News): Shopkeeper Shot to Death – An 18-year-old shopkeeper was shot and killed by a lone gunman at his home in, Flower Hill, St James, on Saturday November 30.

He has been identified as Kodie Buckingham, otherwise called “Kodak”.

Reports by the police are that about 4:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, Buckingham and his girlfriend closed up their shop which they operated in the same community, and went home.

On entering their house they were alarmed by a strange sound coming from the rear of the dwelling, and they later discovered that a man armed with a handgun, had forced his way through a door at the rear.

The gunman opened fire hitting Buckingham multiple times to his upper body before making his escape on foot in the area.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, Buckingham was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The female was not harmed.
