Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Salt Spring Murders Continues: another community member was slain by gunmen in the crime stricken community of Salt Spring in St James on Tuesday June 27th.
He has been identified has Richard Dehaney, 40-year-old unemployed of Crichton Heights in Salt Spring.
Reports are that, about 4:00 am on Tuesday residents in Crichton Heights alerted the Freeport and Montego Hills police after a barrage of gunshots were heard coming from the area.
The police rushed to the area and upon arrival, Dehaney was seen suffering from multiple gunshot wound which impact smashed in a section of the head.
He was transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Over the past weeks a number of male community members have lost their lives by the gun. Despite increased police patrols and the presence of the Jamaica Defence Force soldiers the gunmen still continues on their rampage.
