St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Saint James Road Fatalities Recorded: The Freeport Police Traffic Department in St James have reported that at the end of 2017, a total of 20 road fatalities were recorded in the parish of St James.
These deaths resulted from a total of 20 road accidents. The traffic officers further stated that in the previous year in 2016, a total of 18 persons were reported killed in traffic accidents in the parish and these occurred from a total of 18 traffic accidents.
The police indicated that more deaths and road accidents increased in the previous year and they are now asking road users to be very careful when driving on the public roadways.
Most of these traffic accidents occurred from drivers who are speeding and carrying out careless overtaking and these are the drivers motorist must be on the lookout for.
The traffic officers also pointed out that, persons caught exceeding the speed limits or driving carelessly will be dealt with to the fullest arms of the law.
